About
Nigel Currie is an Independent Baptist Biblical science preacher and teacher.
With science qualifications in chemistry (PhD) and geology (BSc), a background in research, management, and teaching, and a gift for preaching, Nigel is passionate about helping people of all ages appreciate the wonder and accuracy of the Bible.
Over and over, society is told the lie that science disproves the Bible. Yet the opposite is correct. True science irrefutably points to the existence of the Creator (the Lord Jesus Christ) and the accuracy of Scripture.
When Nigel retired from secular work, the Lord burdened him with the need for doctrinally sound, scientifically accurate preaching and resources about Biblical science. His home base is Northside Baptist Church, South Australia, and he seeks to support like-faith Independent Baptist churches around the country and world through preaching, teaching and providing resources for adults and children.
Nigel has been married to Miranda for more than 38 years. The Lord has blessed them with eight (now adult) children and (currently) four grandchildren.
Nigel's ministry
Brother Currie is available to preach and teach in-person and virtually at like-faith Baptist or Bible churches, schools, camps, men's breakfasts, conferences, and on the radio. He loves to show and tell, bringing (some of) his extensive fossil and model dinosaur collection with him, and can use visuals or PowerPoints to help people of all ages understand how true science will always align with the Bible. While his main focus is science and the Gospel, he also preaches the whole counsel of God.
His aim is to help each person - man, woman, boy or girl - understand that the Bible is the 100% reliable, inerrant, inspired Word of God, which is "quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart" (Hebrews 4:12).
Nigel welcomes topic suggestions and is happy to work with Pastors to address specific needs.

Ministry hallmarks
Focus on hearts, not just heads
Rather than merely filling people's heads with scientific knowledge, Brother Currie's prayer is that the Lord will use the presented material to change lives with the Gospel.
Supporting churches
Nigel believes that the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20) is primarily a charge to the church. His heart is to work with and support churches to equip believers and reach the lost.
Pastoral & church oversight
Brother Currie comes recommended by, and is accountable to, his pastor and local church, Northside Baptist Church, SA. Most other Biblical science ministries are parachurch ministries, not accountable to a specific pastor or local church.
Independent Baptist
Many Creation science ministries are ecumenical and consequently have 'taboo' topics. However, Brother Currie is unashamedly Independent Baptist in theology and preaches the whole counsel of God, from Genesis to Revelation.
KJV only
Nigel only uses the King James Version of the Bible.
